Assistant Professor - Mechatronics Engineering, MTSU

The Department of Engineering Technology at Middle Tennessee State University invites applications for a tenure‐track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank in the area of Mechatronics Engineering. Start date for the position may be as early as August 1, 2017 or by January 1, 2018.

The successful candidates will be required to: (1) develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in dynamics, kinematics, robotics, and controls as well other related subjects in Mechatronics (lecture and laboratory); (2) supervise senior design projects and graduate/undergraduate research projects; (3) pursue scholarly activities (including developing an externally-funded research program and preparing peer-reviewed journal publications); (4) engage in academic mentoring; (5) assist in program assessment and execution of the department’s continuous improvement plan; and (6) participate in appropriate professional service/activities/organizations.
